MARRIOTT PROVIDENCE DOWNTOWN, Providence – A Smart Stay in the City

I had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The rooms were recently renovated, nice, and clean with comfortable bedding, but the hotel was quite packed due to a kids' hockey event. The service, from Sales Representative Caroline to the front desk folks, was extremely engaging and pleasant. However, there were long lines for anything cook to order. The location, although convenient for the New England's Finest tournament, was not ideal as it was not convenient to downtown. The dining experience was self-service with a busy staff member managing too much alone. Despite these issues, the staff was willing to go out of their way to help.

The hotel rooms were comfortable, spacious, and well-equipped to accommodate all guests, but there were issues with towels running out more than once during our stay. The service was excellent, with friendly staff members across all areas, but there were instances of condescension and rudeness. The location was great, within walking distance to dining and shopping options, though a bit farther from the waterfire than expected. Overall, the facilities were good, offering a range of services and amenities.

The hotel offers a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms are clean and tidy, but they could use some updating. The service is exceptional with attentive staff, though there was a slight slip-up in the restaurant. The location is convenient with good access to downtown and major roads, but lacks immediate attractions. The dining experience is pleasant with a variety of options, although not everything may be perfect. Overall, a decent stay with room for improvement.
